Homework Club

Homework Club started back in 2015. After discussions and recommendations from parents from the Pasifika fono, Moira Blair and a group of teachers; Keith Ratcliffe, Leigh Duncan and Ula Lologa set up Homework Club to support our pasifika students. Students bring their homework on Monday afternoons from 3-4. At the time we had around 12 students attending and now we have over 20 students in 2017.

The Homework Club has been a great way for the students to work with each other, build positive relationships with teachers, and strengthening partnerships with home

Our Programme for Homework Club for 2017

Homework Club is on every Mondays from 3-4.

3:00 - 3:15 Students buddy read Junior/Senior or Tuakana/Teina
3:15 - 3:40 Students complete their own tasks/spelling/mathletics set from their classes
3:40 - 3:50 Games with Mr Sullivan
3:50: Light snacks
4:00 - Homework Club ends.

    Awesome to see this group go from strength to strength. I have loved watching the confidence in the students grow.
